The Opportunity

OH Talent Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Physician to join a leading Occupational Health provider on a freelance basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Occupational Health Physician to deliver a comprehensive Occupational Health service across a varied client portfolio. The role offers a diverse caseload, including statutory medicals, fitness for work assessments, workplace health advice and health surveillance, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote employee health, safety and wellbeing.

The Role

As an Occupational Health Physician, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive Occupational Health medical assessments.

  • Completing fitness for work and return-to-work medical evaluations.

  • Diagnosing and managing work-related illness and injury.

  • Providing expert advice on workplace adjustments and rehabilitation.

  • Undertaking health risk assessments and workplace health evaluations.

  • Delivering statutory medicals and health surveillance programmes.

  • Advising on workplace ergonomics and injury prevention.

  • Supporting organisations in maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Health & Safety legislation.

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records.

  • Delivering health promotion initiatives and workplace wellbeing programmes.

  • Providing guidance on occupational stress and mental health.

  • Investigating workplace incidents and providing clinical recommendations.

  • Working collaboratively with Occupational Health teams, Health & Safety professionals and client stakeholders.

  • Promoting best practice and continuous improvement within Occupational Health services.

  • Travelling to client sites across the UK as required.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

Essential

  • Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practise.

  • Qualification in Occupational Medicine (Diploma, Associateship, Membership or Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine).

  • Current Spirometry and Audiometry Certification.

  • HAVS Qualification.

  • HSE Appointed Doctor status for Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR), Asbestos and Lead.

  • OGUK (Oil & Gas UK) Medical Qualification.

  • Clinical Supervisor experience.

  • Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health practice, employment law and Health & Safety legislation.

  • Strong communication and report writing skills.

  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Desirable

  • Experience implementing or maintaining SEQOHS accreditation.

  • Experience delivering workforce training and presentations.

  • Strong clinical governance and audit experience.
