The Opportunity

OH Talent Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Physician (OHP) to join a leading Occupational Health provider in Warrington.

There is flexibility to consider either a permanent part-time appointment or a freelance contractor, with the opportunity to work 2, 3 or 4 days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Health Physician seeking a flexible working arrangement within an established Occupational Health service.

The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive Occupational Health service across a varied client portfolio, undertaking medical assessments, fitness-for-work evaluations, statutory medicals and health surveillance, while providing expert clinical advice to support employee health, safety and wellbeing.

We are keen to speak with candidates interested in either employment option and can discuss the working pattern and package according to individual requirements.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive Occupational Health medical assessments.

  • Completing fitness-for-work and return-to-work medical evaluations.

  • Assessing work-related illness and injury and providing appropriate clinical recommendations.

  • Advising on workplace adjustments, rehabilitation and employee fitness for work.

  • Undertaking statutory medicals and health surveillance programmes.

  • Providing specialist advice on workplace health risks and injury prevention.

  • Supporting clients with Occupational Health and relevant Health & Safety compliance requirements.

  • Maintaining accurate, confidential clinical records and producing high-quality medical reports.

  • Providing guidance on occupational stress, mental health and workplace wellbeing.

  • Working collaboratively with Occupational Health professionals, Health & Safety teams and client stakeholders.

  • Supporting clinical governance, best practice and continuous service improvement.

  • Travelling to client sites where required.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.

  • A recognised Occupational Medicine qualification, such as a Diploma, Associateship, Membership or Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health practice and relevant employment and Health & Safety legislation.

  • Excellent communication, clinical assessment and report-writing skills.Salary, Rates and Benefits

The provider is open to discussing a package appropriate to the successful candidate’s preferred arrangement.

Permanent part-time option:

  • Permanent employment.

  • Flexible working pattern of 2, 3 or 4 days per week.

  • Flexible contract arrangement of 2, 3 or 4 days per week.
